Meet Our Staff

“To the attentive eye, each moment of the year has its own beauty, and in the same field, it beholds, every hour, a picture which was never seen before and which shall never be seen again.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Lisa Miller, Senior Photographer and CEO
Lisa is an award-winning wedding and lifestyle photographer based in NC. Originally from the Raleigh area, she moved to Davie County in 2008. Her passion is natural photography that captures expressions, draws the viewer in to the story. She loves creating custom sessions for clients and working with couples to create engagement and wedding images that reflect their personality as a couple. Because her clients are so important to her, Lisa only takes 15 weddings per year. This enables her to provide the focus, creativity, and attention that each of her clients deserve. Lisa believes that her relationships with her clients are the foundation of relevant, stunning, and emotional images.

Analytical by nature, Lisa loves looking at challenges as opportunities. Whether she’s photographing a wild and wonderful toddler who won’t sit still for portraits, or creating bridal portraits in the rain, Lisa enjoys creating beautiful images out of challenging situations. You will often hear her say that she sees every day life as a string of photographs – and that she’s constantly viewing, evaluating, and photographing in her mind to celebrate every day life.

Her style has been described by her clients as vintage photography with a modern portrait touch, artful documentaries of every day life, and natural images that reflect emotions and relationships.

Some of her favorite moments are watching her clients as they experience the emotion and joy of seeing their every day moments celebrated and cherished. To Lisa, photography is about the everyday moments of life – the ones that weave together in our memories and hearts to create what we are and what we love. Photography is a means to remember those we’ve lost, rejoice in what we cherish, and experience things we may never see again.

In her daily life, Lisa has a deep appreciation for her family, friends and faith. She also loves Emerson, anything vintage (especially the 1920s and 1930s), a great sense of humor, the craziness that comes with self-awareness in photographs, and being outside in the sunshine. As a mother to a very active toddler, Lisa definitely lives life on the go – and wouldn’t have it any other way! One of her favorite things about being a mother is that she gets to experience the joys of the simplest things all over again through the eyes of her children.
